IMPORTANT RULES + INFO FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS
Guide for Coaches, Trainers & Managers

THE COACH

  • Should attend all training sessions and games.
  • Liases constantly with his Manager and Trainer.
  • Prepares kids’ training sessions.
  • Makes sure his/her Coaching accreditation is updated and look to improve his/her level.     
  • Attends Club Coach meetings run by the Coaching Coordinator.
  • Advises Coaching Coordinator of any team requirements.
  • Will follow up kids not at training or who miss games.
  • Make sure that a game report is submitted for the newsletter each week.
  • IMPORTANT : Please ensure all kids are picked up at the end of training each week before leaving.

THE MANAGER – GAME DAY

  • CARDS: Makes sure that all players' registration cards are with you on game day. The cards need to all be signed by the players (even the U6s) and then once the team is signed on the Souths Players Sheet you must hand the cards into the table. DON’T FORGET TO COLLECT THEM AFTER THE GAME.
  • Makes sure that all kids are signed on the playing sheets.
  • Make sure the coach and the trainer has their accreditation and that they sign the sheet also.
  • Makes sure that all kids get the required time on the field (about 30 mins before give you enough time to get them organized and the coach + trainer to warm them up).
  • Keep a check of the running scoreline with the official table (can be done after any score in the game) and/or at the end of each period.
  • Can make a complaint (after consulting with the Coach) at the official table in writing, and then must forward complaint to Clovelly Club Secretary ASAP. Read the CODE OF CONDUCT just so you know what the rights are for the Manager and the Club.
  • Must organise team’s drinks and oranges each week. Must collect receipts for these and after $50 is reached can claim back through the Club’s Treasurer. Usually $50 lasts a month if you shop correctly.
  • Must keep the team official record sheets each week, and hand in at season’s end.

THE TRAINER

  • Will assist the Coach at trainings, but mainly on game day.
  • Will be in charge of waterbottles, first aid kit etc.
  • Will make sure that they hold a First Aid certificate or are to do the ARL First Aid Course.

ALL COACHING STAFF

  • Will adhere to the Code of Conduct at all times!
  • They will ensure that parents and supporters also abide by the Code of Conduct at all times!
  • Will encourage development of skills, enjoyment, commitment and participation before all else.
