21st October 2016
Attached is the Announcement from Sydney Roosters CEO – John Lee – which outlines the decision made by Souths Juniors to not renew the invitation to play in their competition in 2017.
Whilst this may come as a shock and create concern for many of our members please know that the Clovelly Crocodiles Committee will be working with the Sydney Roosters and the Easts Clubs (Bondi United, Paddington Colts and St Charles) to create exciting opportunities for the players in 2017 and beyond. We look forward to meeting next Monday to focus on the future and formulate positive next steps.
We will be promoting a family-friendly competition with an emphasis on community connection, junior rugby league passion and solid skill development for all players. The Eastern Suburbs district will continue to be proud supporters of Junior Rugby League.
We are confident there will be a strong season ahead and we will be celebrating the 100th Season for the Clovelly Crocodiles Club and Easts with style.
